Jonah Bonn
Co-Founder & President
Jonah Bonn is the Founder of First Bay. He is active in the management of a portfolio of commercial and industrial real estate in Ottawa and Atlantic Canada.
Brian Gold
Co-Founder & General Counsel
Brian Gold is a partner and general counsel to First Bay. He is involved in overall strategy for First Bay from a legal and business perspective.
Amanada Vanderheide, CPA
Controller
Amanda is the Controller of First Bay and is responsible for managing the accounting team, ensuring timely financial reporting, implementing/monitoring control systems and providing insights to drive business growth. Amanda holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) from the University of Guelph and is a Chartered Professional Accountant. Amanda’s was previously the Controller of RVezy and prior to that she had worked at the professional services firm, MNP LLP.
Shannon Cheng
Senior Property Accountant
Shannon has been working with us since 2018. She is responsible for managing the daily accounting functions, financial analysis and preparation of financial statements. Shannon holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours, Specialization in Accounting) from the Telfer School of Management at the University of Ottawa.
Alain Guay
Director of Property Operations
Alain is responsible for property operations for the entirety of our management portfolio. With over 10 years of industry experience, Alain brings a breadth of knowledge that is critical to the maintenance of our buildings. Alain also manages capital replacement projects such as roofing, glazing, mechanical systems and paving.
Ligia Hernandez
Commercial Property Administrator
Ligia provides lease administration services, oversight of tenant accounts receivable, coordination of special projects, and offers direct support to the Director of Property Operations. Ligia holds the Accredited Residential Manager (ARM) designation issued by the Real Estate Institute of Canada. She was formerly employed as a property manager for a 200+ unit rental apartment building in the west end of Ottawa.
Silvia Xi
Property Accountant
Silvia handles all accounts receivable/accounts payable and provides assistance in compilation of monthly reporting for the portfolio of properties under management. Silvia holds a Bachelor in Public Finance from Liaoning University (China), an Executive MBA from Tsinghua University (China) and a Diploma in Business Accounting from Algonquin College. Silvia was previously employed as a Public Relations Director for Tencent Holdings Ltd., a Chinese multinational technology conglomerate.
